Bram Ellens
Bram started his professional career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants after having studied at the University of Technology Delft. After three years in strategy consulting, he joined eBay as a Business
Developer at Marktplaats.nl.
Rolling out several successful optimizations, Bram joined the eBay Global Classifieds team in San Francisco to broaden his scope. After fixing the basic global monetization issues at headquarters, he started working as a trouble shooter in Taiwan, Milan, Berlin and London. In 2008 Bram moved to Berlin to become the interim General Manager at Kijiji, the leading German, Austrian and Swiss classifieds platform. In 2009 he moved back to the Netherlands to fulfil his entrepreneurial dream and founded Harvest with his partner.
Apart from his role as Partner at Harvest, Bram also holds a position in the board of Offerti.nl, a Harvest adVentures start-up, and performs as a guest speaker at numerous events.
Daan Sanders
During his study in Amsterdam and Nice (France), Daan launched several successful entrepreneurial initiatives. With a passion for online, Daan joined eBay In 2004 as a category manager. After the acquisition of Marktplaats.nl Daan worked in several positions in the (online) marketing team for both eBay & Marktplaats.nl.
In 2006 Daan joined the business development & strategy team, pushing a wide range of projects in The Netherlands and globally. Amongst others, building the services/directory vertical into a multi-million dollar business, launching a CPC based advertising model (Admarkt) and working in an European M&A (project)team.
In 2009 Daan & Bram pursuit their dreams and founded Harvest Amsterdam. Daan mainly focuses on the investments of the Harvest adVentures portfolio.
Sander Roose
Sander holds a MSc degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology, where he graduated cum laude. He broadened his scope at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. After his studies he worked within Customer Business Development at Procter & Gamble, the world’s leading consumer goods company, for several years. At Harvest, Sander enjoys combining his engineering and commercial skills and putting them to work in the dynamic online world.
At Harvest, Sander has worked for numerous clients, including Philips, Hyves, Zoover, Compare Group, Telegraaf Media Group and Reed Elsevier. The combination of his online experience and background at Procter & Gamble makes him an expert at e-retail.
Selina van Panhuys
After studying Mathematics & Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, Selina started her career in telecom first as an IT consultant and later as a strategy consultant. After her Masters in Technology Policy at Cambridge University, Selina returned to The Netherlands and joined eBay as a Product Manager for Marktplaats.nl.
At Marktplaats.nl Selina combined her technical background with a fascination for online user experience. She worked with both Business Development and Technical teams to design, specify and implement projects that carefully balanced user experience with monetization.
At Harvest Selina uses her product expertise to translate revenue driving strategies into tangible product solutions.
Eric Klaassen
After obtaining a MSc degree in Marketing and following an MBA program in the United States, Eric started his professional career at VODW, a leading marketing strategy consultancy firm. At VODW, he gained experience as consultant for organisations in different sectors. For example, he was team leader in an internet project for a fast-growing bank, and developed a new strategy for a pharmaceutical company.
At Harvest, Eric has worked for numerous clients, including Hyves, RTL and Telegraaf Media Groep. He is expert in marketing, strategy and mobile and likes to use consumer, business and market insights to generate new business for clients in smart and appealing ways.
Eric launched a number of successful own internet concepts, and published articles for several journals about online business.
Merlin de Graaf
Merlin obtained a MSc degree in Finance and Investments at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Her interests in different cultures was broadened by studying a few months at the State Polytechnical University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
After university she joined the Food & Agri team at the mergers & acquisitions department of Rabo Securities. Growing up in an entrepreneurial environment, two years later she founded M&A boutique Squarefield together with 2 former colleagues from Rabo Securities. Being active in corporate advisory for more than five years, Merlin was involved in the execution of several sell- and buy-side projects such as the sale of United Dutch Breweries to Egeria and the acquisition of Grampian by VION Food Group and gained extensive knowledge of the Benelux food sector.
Driven by the interest in online developments in combination with strategic advisory and solutions, Merlin joins Harvest as a consultant focussed on e-retail. She combines her work at Harvest with an internet start-up in the fashion industry.
Peter Koning
Before joining the Harvest Amsterdam team as a consultant, Peter obtained a MSc degree in Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He complemented his academic knowledge at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his study in Rotterdam, Peter worked for several IT companies for over 3 years. There he developed his skills in solving problems fast and adequately. His passion lies in exploring the extensive fields of technology marketing.
At Harvest Amsterdam, Peter has developed into a specialist in the field of online advertising and specifically AdSense optimization. He has worked for numerous clients, including Hyves, Compare Group, Telegraaf Media Group, Spil Games and Teufel. Peter is driven in analysing and executing different advertising models that result in giving a boost to the online advertising revenues.
Thomas Plantenga
Thomas holds a MSc degree in Cardiovascular Mechanics from Eindhoven University of Technology. He contributed in research on mathematical models at the University of California in San Diego and at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. After his studies he travelled the world as professional kite-surfer and launched an entrepreneurial initiative. Back in Amsterdam he uses his numerical approach to grasp the dynamics of the online world.
At Harvest Amsterdam, Thomas has worked for numerous clients, including Hyves, Zoover, Telegraaf Media Group, Spil Games, Teufel, RTL news and De Telefoongids & Gouden Gids. Thomas has a spike in trend analysis and forecasting models. His strong mathematical background proves to be an asset here.
Caspar Schönau
After a year at university in the United States, Caspar Schönau obtained a MSc degree in Astronomy at Leiden University. During his first major research there, he scanned for complex organic molecules in the Milky Way and detected alcohol at over 1000 lightyears away. For his master's thesis, he focused on the process of star formation, conducting an extensive analytical survey using data from several ground-based and Earth-orbiting telescopes. To fulfill his second big passion, literature, Caspar combined his studies with a three year period as editor at the 120 year-old student magazine Propria Cures. Currently he is a writer for the satirical website De Speld.
At Harvest, Caspar has worked for a great number of clients including Philips, Independer and TMG. Having the opportunity to work on cases that involve both his creative skills and hardcore data-crunching qualities, is what drives him as a Harvesteer .
Sibren Tadema
Sibren holds a MSc degree in Science & Innovation Management from Utrecht University. During his master program he investigated how established companies react to disruptive innovations in their environment. Sibren joined an international research project at the Columbia University for his thesis. In this project he interviewed entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in the online industry in Silicon Valley. The results of his thesis were used by the Dutch Ministry of Finance as starting point for policy development. During and after his study Sibren worked at several watersport schools around the world and assisted with the founding of a kitesurf school in Italy.
At Harvest, Sibren combines his interest for online developments with a strong set of analytical skills. Besides his work for the clients of Harvest he is also involved in the latest Harvest venture.
Aline Ueckert
Being born in Germany and having studied in the Netherlands and France, Aline is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Next to that, she is part of the 5-headed board of the Amsterdam Research Project. This project consists of 21 student consultants doing desk and field research in Argentina to answer market research questions for Dutch and international companies. Earlier, she worked as researcher at a marketing innovation agency.
At Harvest, Aline is supporting the consultants by researching relevant topics for ongoing projects.
Carmen Delamboye
After having finished Maastricht Hotel Management School and completing an internship in Paris, Carmen pursued her Master in Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam. At the moment she is writing her Master Thesis in the field of Corporate Governance & Valuation. Earlier she was a part-time board member of AIESEC Amsterdam and next to this, she participated in the BID (Business in Development) student challenge. This is a project for students to apply their ambition and expertise in practice by reviewing an actual business plan from an entrepreneur located in Africa, Latin America or Asia.
At Harvest, Carmen is supporting the consultants by researching relevant information for projects.
Tessa Wanders
After having studied Economics and Dutch Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam for a year, Tessa decided to move to Amsterdam and focus on Economics alone, direction Finance. Besides her study she currently is committed to world’s largest student platform AIESEC, because she believes strongly in the importance of mutual intercultural understanding. Here she is responsible for the selection of traineeship candidates, and also, when elected, their mentor.
Within Harvest Tessa, as Office Manager, will keep up the financial administration and manage office facilities.
